Allow it. It will be used to play videos and music in the background of the game.

 

The game seems to need a long time for starting or continuing. Is this an error?
No. Some neccesarry parts will be extracted and prepared at the beginning. This can take some time and depends also on the computer. The loading time between the level is then faster.

 

Where are the savegames directory?
Dark Shadows is saving the savegame- and configuration files directly into the DSAOE documents folder.

How can I change the language from english to german and from german to english?
You can find a button on the right bottom corner of the main menu. One click is enough.

Is there any way to turn off the blood effects?
Yes, of course. You can turn them off in the settings menu of the game.​

DE: Selten kommt es vor, dass Computer nach dem Start von Dark Shadows um Erlaubnis bezüglich des Zugriffs auf ffdschow fragen.
Erlauben Sie den Zugriff. Damit werden Videos und Musik, die im Hintergrund laufen, abgespielt.

 

Das Spiel braucht lange bis es gestartet ist oder fortgesetzt wird. Liegt da ein Fehler vor?
Nein. Zu Anfang werden spielrelevante Teile entpackt und vorbereitet. Dies kann je nach Rechner einige Zeit beanspruchen. Die Ladezeiten sind dafür zwischen den Levels schneller, hängen aber auch von Levelgrösse ab.

Wo werden die Savegames gespeichert?
Dark Shadows speichert die Spielstände und Konfigurationsdateien direkt im DSAOE Dokumenten Ordner ab.

Wie kann ich die Sprache von Englisch auf Deutsch oder umgekehrt einstellen?
Im Hauptmenü finden Sie an der rechten unteren Ecke eine Schaltfläche. Ein Klick genügt.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Bluteffekte abzustellen?
Ja. Die Bluteffekte können im Einstellungsmenü abgestellt werden.
